Resin Bonded Bridge

faq
What is dental bonding?
It is an in-office procedure that can repair a damaged, chipped, or cracked tooth. It involves the application of a composite resin to the surface of the tooth and on any cracks that need to be filled. This material then bonds to the tooth.
What is the dental bonding procedure like?
The dentist removes a little enamel from the front of the tooth and roughens it to help the resin adhere. The composite resin that matches the color of your teeth is placed on the tooth, shaped, and treated with a special curing light. The dentist files and polishes the bonding to give it a natural shine. All this may usually be completed in one appointment.
What are some benefits of composite resin bonding?
- Natural appearance
- Fast and simple placement procedure
- Long-lasting
Is dental bonding permanent?
It is not, but with proper oral care and hygiene that includes brushing teeth twice a day, flossing at least once a day, and regular dental cleanings and checkups, tooth bonding can last even ten years.
How soon can I eat or drink post-procedure?
There is no need to refrain from eating and drinking after dental bonding as the resin is completely cured during the procedure. However, there may be slight tooth sensitivity to heat and cold following teeth bonding.
